So as promised, I am writing to let you know how the concert was on Monday night. It was freaking awesome! Let me start off by saying that my throat still feels kinda scratchy.. HAHA! Anywho, so me and my friend got a late start leaving Bmore. We didn't leave until about 520ish and yet somehow we made it to DC AND the 930 club by 640. I don't know how that happened but am so stoked it did! We had front row standing quality in all it's goodness!! I would like to say that before I went to this concert last night I had never heard of
Deleasa and I had only heard one song by
Green River Ordinance. I went to hear
Boyce Avenue - my obsession lately - who was awesome. Wait, lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Rewind to the beginning.
Okay, so this band came out on stage. I was thinking 'great some dumb band that I'm going to have to put up with until I can hear
Boyce Avenue'. Boy was I wrong. The singer, Mike Deleasa, was awesome. The cellist was awesome. Here are some pictures of
Deleasa.
Man, I wish I would have gotten some video's of them. It was so awesome. They were only on stage for about a half hour. BOO!! Anywho, so the next band to come on was
Green River Ordinance. I had heard of them but I couldn't remember anything of them. I was thinking 'okay, I can deal with them for a little bit because after they go off
Boyce Avenue comes on' (can you tell who I really wanted to see?!?!). They started playing. Oh. My. God. It was like I was in Rock Heaven!! Lets just say they now have ANOTHER fan for life. Not to mention that the guitarist/back-up vocalist is pretty cute ;) I really like his guitar so I took a picture of it also! *tee hee hee* So, here are some pictures of
Green River Ordinance..
(the sick guitar!!)

So apparently, my computer doesn't like to blow up the pictures.. hm.. :-/ Anywho, they were on stage until about 845ish. Again, BOO! But what can you do, right? Let me tell you, these guys were awesome on AND off the stage! They support a non profit organization called Waterhope. If you don't know what it is you can read all about it
here. So, yes, they were awesome, everyone was awesome. And now, dun dun dun, for the main event!!
BOYCE AVENUE!
I would just like to say that the 15 minutes between bands was the longest 15 minutes of my life. I have been
in many concerts before and the set up and tuning always seemed to go so fast. I could never get enough sound checks in before the concerts were to start!! However, I guess it feels like an eternity to everyone else, which is what it felt like Monday night. Lemme tell ya!! Anywho, so for the main event
Boyce Avenue. Where should I start? They came out, they sounded amazing, like always. They always sound amazing. Okay, so here it is. I know what you really want. You want the pictures. Well, who am I to displease you? Here they are!! I will post the website where you can see them all at the end. I am only going to post some of the really good ones. And yes, I took all these pictures by myself. I had the best view in the house.. Okay, well, it would have been better if it was center stage. However we were stage left (while looking at the stage) or stage right (while looking out at the audience).
the stage from my viewpoint.. See, I was that close.. And what?

Alejandro. Isn't he so dreamy?!?!
Fabian.
Yup, I really took this. I need a better camera tho...
And this is the background on my computer :)
Oh yes, a man of many talents :D
So that was the concert. It was freaking awesome. I spent way more money than I should have on merch but it was worth it. Only think I wish was that I could have gotten one of the guitar picks. That would have been so awesome. I would have put it on my necklace. Instead I bought one. I guess the next time I see them I am going to have to get their attention to throw me it ;)
Alright, well it's officially 130 in the morning. I have to get up at 730 to get my daughter ready for school and then I can go back to bed since I have off :) If you wanna see all the pictures from Monday night's concert then go
here. Also, listen to
this song. It's called Endlessly by Green River Ordinance (GRO) I think it's my favorite song from them!! Or, at least the ones I have heard up til now.. Well, good-night xanga land. Until next time!!
